When I began my career in the 1950's. "Traditional Art" was considered to be painting, drawing or sculpture that was physically produced by the hand of the artist. My paintings were traditional art, stretched on canvas and hand painted by me with various sizes of soft hair brushes. I used acrylic paint because I was allergic to oil base paint. New forms of art emerged in the 60's and 70's offering artists alternatives to the static permanence of painting, drawing and sculpture.
