THE MAURADERS. I CALLED THEM THE WOLVES AT THE DOOR They were developers who wanted the place. Pritam was the star wolf at the door and had made me three serious previous offers for the place.
I called him and he said Yes! He paid my debt and all three parcels became his. I got life tenancy in my home at 518 Elizabeth Street on Parcel A.
2012 to 2014 Pritam decided he and his wife would live in the Cook House. He set about making a silk purse out of a sours ear. Pritam had big dreamy plans to create a Balinese type compound om Parcel B and C He wanted to assemble his whole family to live together in it. He planned to enhance the garden with water features, a stream and pools. He hired me at $600 a month to oversea the health of plants.
Circa 2014 He made a statement about the garden saying he wanted to sit and understand it I was hopeful that after so many back to back development projects he might sit still and learn from the land and the trees. He did not sit for long. He ignored my advice and made two decisions that killed the garden and broke my heart.
It was during this year 2012 when he owned it that he made the sit in it to understand it statement. He didn't sit for long, did not understand it and in short made two decisions that killed the plants and animals. He had every bit of the centuries deep humus or the black fertile soil removed from the entire properties, because he didn't like the look of the forest floor with its naturally fallen leaves.
Plants became suddenly stilt rooted, lost their footing and fell over. He installeda huge expensive irrigation system to deliver water to all the parcels. The system used underground water once safe but now with salt intrusion and limestone silt because of its widespread use This tainted water killed the tree ferns and orchids and every thing green turned a sickly grey. Plants stopped breathing because their stomates
were clogged with lime deposits. Shortly after the garden decline he divide it and sold it to
the posh new people who built big houses one of whom brought a bobcat and
made a pool in sink hole.
